Is this Staffordshire, Fake Staffordshire, or something else?

    Hi, this little lion figure only stands 2" tall. It's unglazed bisque that's painted. Was wondering if it's early Staffordshire, fake Staffordshire or something else entirely? Because it's unglazed it's not it feels and looks like painted bisque. Thanks! st1.jpg st2.jpg

    It looks to me like hand packed clay (as opposed to slip cast), and that suggests a cottage industry.
