Featured Is this small oil lamp really from the 1890s?

    Found this little oil lamp and when trying to find out more about it I came across an auction listing with an identical lamp that claims its from the 1890s. Is there a way to tell?

    I didnt see any markings on the bottom but the metal does say P&A Hornet.

    In the picture where you hold it in your hand we can get an idea of the size, but it would be nice for people trying to ID it if we had measurements.:)

    that definitely might help

    Measurements are 9 1/4" H to top of shade, 4 1/4" H to top of collar, 3" D foot

    BABY CLEVELAND NIGHT LIGHT MINIATURE LAMP, opaque white with pale blue ground and polychrome transfer decoration, barrel-form font with pinched medial and pedestal circular foot, umbrella-form two-part illuminator shade with matching decoration to the top and a colorless base, No. 1 Taplin-Brown collar. Fitted with a Plume & Atwood Hornet burner. Dithridge & Company.

    Dimensions
    9 1/4" H to top of shade, 4 1/4" H to top of collar, 3" D foot.

    I just didn't think it likely that 2 of the same lamp from the 1890s was still around.

    I didn't think so either...then the internet......and poof...all the shit that we thought was rare.....unfindable .....one of a kind......only one I've ever seen....
    all that has been blown to bits !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
