Is this ship picture old

    I found at a garage sale can any one tell me what kind of paint was used and the artiest and year any info helps

    looks like acrylic...but maybe with black marker involved..

    Charming painting, I always love seascapes and harbour scenes.
    It looks amateur made, so it is probably impossible to find the painter. Datewise I think 1960s.

    Let's wait for the rest, there could be other insights and opinions.

    This is watercolor. I agree it looks hobbiest/student. The skill level is a tell, but also no professional or serious art student would use plain masking tape (which leaves that residue) instead of proper drafting tape. That monogram...sigh why do artists have to do that? :grumpy:

    Age wise I'd guess 2000-ish by the signature style and age on the tape/piece, but it could be earlier. It's not antique.

    Judy, has your painting been glued onto card or is that all one piece?
