Is this pitcher Weller Louwelsa?

    Hi All! The photo of this is brightened so you can see the details. It is unmarked. I am thinking Weller Louwelsa? If not can you please advise? Thank you! Oh it is 11 3/4" high, unfortunately there is a bad spot on the pear unless there is supposed to be an overglazed gouge in it. weller.jpg weller1.jpg

    Hi wildrose - It can be very difficult to identify the manufacturer of an unmarked standard glaze vase largely because so many potteries made them: Weller, McCoy, Roseville, Rookwood, and Owens, for example all made a standard glaze. Not to disrespect your pitcher but the painting is a bit crude so I don't think it's by one of the high end makers like Weller. And I don't recognize it as a McCoy shape. Wish I could be of more help.
