    Hi!

I thought this might be stone but maybe it’s Italian marble. I do believe this is vintage. Anyone have any ideas? I can’t make out any of the label.

Any help is very much appreciated

Maybe I misunderstood what you were asking about. The pink item or the "faceted looking" item?

It actually looks quite a lot like Incolay. I'm not aware of their having made ashtrays, but there were other companies that tried to copy them. Too bad the label has been effaced.

Believe it or not... I once had a bathroom with walls and floors covered in that stone. It was mined in Spain. Don't remember what it was called.

The same or similar? Ad refers to it as "Alicante Red."

Too intresting. It is, of course, Spanish rather than Italian, but one doesn't associate Spain with marble.

Gauntlett's has more black and grey in it, much like some Indian marble types. I have an Indian marble soap dish much like it.
I believe India is a major exporter of marble items.
