Hello Board Friends - I got this plate in a stack of similarly decorated plates. This is the only one I haven't been able to ID. The plate is 8 3/4" across and very heavy. The mark reminds me of the fake ironstone mark showing up on so many pieces. I'm not sure if it is the fake mark, though, because of the inclusion of the W & B and the small yellow number. I can't find a W & B mark that matches. So I'm getting a bit confused. Does anyone recognize the mark? Thanks for whatever guidance you can provide. Thanks!
    Don

Wood & Barker? They weren't around long and I can only find one of their marks, not this one, so who knows.

Another possibility, Wood & Baggaley. My Goddard's doesn't illustrate the mark, but states they were at Hill Works, Burslem. Staffordshire Potteries, 1870-80.

Looks fine to me, it's not a thing that would be faked.

It's one of three: Wood and, take your pick from Baggaley or Bowers or Brownfield.

Thanks, folks! I'll just list it as an unidentified mark. Won't be the first time!

Yup, the transfers were mass produced and used by many factories.
