Is this copper item a flower pot or something totally different?

Hi, I wasn't able to find anything quite comparable to this, other than a few items that were larger and looked mass produced and referred to as flower pots. I saw some French
cooking items that were similar in the way the were made, but most were larger and had handles. Thanks in advance for any help or ideas.

I'm sorry, I was having keyboard troubles and spaced that out. It's 3 1/8" tall not including the hanging eye, around 4.25" wide and about 3.75" front to back.

Reminds me of a wall hanging salt box but I can't recall ever seeing a copper one (but I guess it's possible).

Thanks everybody. My first thought was flower pot too but I was also thinking a utensil holder. I did find several almost identical being called a flower pot and another a kindling holder. So I think I’m going to go with flower pot unless something else comes along.

Thank you, I saw a lot of copper pieces identified as French so I was wondering about that too.

It's a very typical shape. The lids, if they had them, were wooden.
