Is this civil war hat legit?

    Another item from the estate we are in the process of liquidating. Just trying to make sure this is legit from the Civil War and approximate value if possible.

    The fabric looks very fresh. If genuine, it's not necessarily Civil War era. That style (kepi) was used for decades after the war.
