OMG! Just this week, my family has made me realize that I can't properly see turquoise and light blues anymore... things I strongly believe are turquoise turn out to be blue...so before I list this incorrectly, what color is this? No one is here to ask. THANKS!!

I don't know if this is totally correct or will help but here it is anyway.

Color on a monitor can vary so much and the lighting in a photo can change the color one sees. I see a lot of red reflection/light in your photo on my computer and blue stones.

On this youtube video the amazing color change of her hair is caused by different types of light bulbs.

I know, been there:eek:! I was helping with collection photos (as in just being a helper) at a historic site. One of the things was always to wear black but I forget all the time.

There are a lot of stones that can be blue. Best bet - take it to a gemologist.

My first reaction would be blue topaz plus red shirt reflection, but it would be a good idea to get a second opinion locally. As someone else said, lots of stones can be blue. A heat-treated aquamarine can be blue too; for some reason these days they don't want the green cast.
