Yes, Wedgwood nearly always marked their wares.

Impressed mark looks BP CO for Brownhills as SIS has stated.

    Nice piece!

Thanks is there any site which would help me date this ?
Also any comparable sales which have taken place in recent past ?

Also @say_it_slowly if I may ask why is it called a cheese dome ?

I'd agree on Brownhills. It's called a cheese dome becuase you put a honking great big cheese truckle under it and it sits on an elegant sideboard. Taller ones are called cheese bells. Refrigerating good cheese ruins it.

Try sprigged ware rather than jasperware, that's what it is. Dudson did things like this too.

I don't think I've ever heard of Brownhills. That's nice.

I can't see the scene to the sides and back but, from what is showing, it looks like a hunting scene known as "The Kill".

I have it on some feldspathic stoneware by Chetham & Woolley c 1800, though Godden states that Brownhills were 1872-1896

    I do not know :(

But if you post two more photos to cover the entire scene and tag me again, I will check the scene.

Slight differences to trees but essentially the same as my piece. The hounds have the fox. So, yes, The Kill
