    Good Afternoon,
Looking for some input on this tiger. It's really old and obviously has had a couple repairs along its journey. It measures 6½" in length and stands 2¼”. There is a mark on the bottom that I can not decipher (refer to last photo). Thanks everyone, your comments are always greatly appreciated.

If it is a painted bronze, you will be able to see yellowish, brassy metal beneath the paint. If you see gray metal, it is not bronze. Also, if you tap the tail gently with a pen tip, bronze will 'ping' (versus a 'thunk' of lead/base metal). I can't see the mark clearly, but a Bergmann mark is a B inside an urn shape. I've always loved Vienna bronzes and he's a nice big one.

The mark may be the generic « geschützt » aka registered or « déposé ».
Not the quality of Bergman bronzes imho, but nice beast!:)

Thank you very much for the tips! I'm fairly certain this feline is bronze. I've attached a few more photos that I had on my computer, more close up of the bottom and face. I thought I saw a VIENNA stamp in a rectangle a while back when I was doing some research but I can't find the screenshot. Does this sound familiar at all? Again, thanks for replying! Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

This one has the Bergmann logo as well. It's a bit closer in appearance to Lva's, but what especially looks different is the texture of the paint surface. This is similar to the one that Any Jewelry shows. However, this tiger has some differences from AJ's also.

Hm, I can't upload the photo on this one. Got an error message saying the extension on the file is not allowed. Anyway, there is a slide show at the above link including a clear image of the mark. Based on this I don't think the original tiger posted is by Bergmann.

However, I like yours, @Lva483 -- Especially its facial expression!
