Is this a Red Herring?

I bought this (long distance) under the impression it was a very fancy egg cup, based on this photograph:

The egg is made of clay, and would have originally been used to encourage a broody hen or to train the hen where to lay.

It is lovely, and in good condition save a couple of chips under the rim of the pedestal. The applique floral display is excellent:

But it has a blind hole at the bottom inside. This would make it difficult to clean. Has anybody else seen an egg cup with this feature?

The standing edge of the base is unglased, so does this imply the material is porcelain?

My second thoughts are a posy vase.

I have never come across the name 'Baisako' or any of the alternatives using R for B; N for K; or U for O (8 variations). Raisaku came up as a graphics designer, but not a ceramicist.

Any help members can provide would be appreciated. Egg cup or posy vase?

Soft paste porcelain, with applied flower, vase. Maybe dating to the 50s-60s? The 'egg' doesn't belong with it.

Doubtful the egg is a training egg either. The idea is to trick the chickens into thinking the fake egg is real & that obvious ridge would be problematic.

It's Spanish. Even without the name, it's very typical. A little tourist vase. The naime is Baisano.

Sorry, I omitted the photograph showing the blind hole, so here it is:
