Is it a ram or a wild goat?

    Hi Folks,

I have a number of ceramics that I would like your advice on, but I am a bit concerned that I might ask too many questions at one time. So can someone tell me if posting two enquiries in one day is acceptable.

    Now onto the fun!

This dynamic piece has remained unknown to me for years since I bought it in the UK way back.

The mark underneath has a word running across the widest part which has in the middle of it possibly an M, then there is perhaps another shorter word underneath which might distort down to the point of the triangle.

Could this be European? My wife thinks Northern Europe (ie Scandinavia) ... I am not so sure. Its length is 7"/18cm, width (horn to horn) is 4.5"/11.5cm.

I showed this on one of the European forums. Someone thought it was the Canadian pottery called Blue Mountain but their triangular mark is the other way up, so perhaps not.

Any ideas would be appreciated ... very much! Thanks.

Mountain Goat but it is a Ram also. BMP is a possibility but dont think so. They used that color combination glaze quite often.

Could this be one of two bookends? Just seen Max le Verrier rams ... OK, I know this is not one of his but ... what do you think?
