Can anyone assist on approximate age of these irons? These are the only pictures I have at the moment but can get more in a few days.

Your 'sad' or solid irons come in all shapes and sizes and have been around for at least a couple of hundred years....they were heated on the coal stoves! Prices can range from $5, $10 on UP.....Google them and I think you'll see a lot in the $40-$60 range.....the little one on the far right that looks like a swan probably came off a salesman's sample size coal stove....I have one like it. The larger irons make great door stops......usually a coat of flat black paint is what we always did! I believe some of the more unusual ones are fairly collectible!!

The number 8 probably equals 8 pounds

And then later today, I was casually reading a March, '19 "Journal of Antiques & Collectibles" a freebie newsletter type in most antique shops that my SiL passes on to me, and there on page 39 is a cool article on collecting old irons of all sorts.....about how they go back thousands of years.....I WAS able to come up with the LINK to the page in the newsletter!!!!! Here ya be @prestoncohunter !!!! SOME days I even manage to surprise myself!!!:hilarious::hilarious::D:D
