IMG_6092.JPG IMG_6090.JPG IMG_6091.JPG IMG_6093.JPG Grabbed this from a yard sale because it was cheap and I like the design. But no idea who and when made it.
    Any thoughts?
    Thanks

Don't know who. When looks like the 1960s or 70s.

I would look to the late 1940s, very early 1960s - there appears to be more thought in the design and craftsmanship then a later, mass produced piece where the design and quality were skimped on for cost measures....

But that's just my humble opinion.......................

    I don't know but I like it. I am on board with a post-war through 60s date.

GLAD you provided those links!!! I did NOT see in your images that the ends curled around!!!!! Really gives it a nice effect!!!!! But then am waiting until they say one eye is "ready" for cataract surgery in one eye........:cool:

Sunburst mirror. From France and Spain. (Yours looks Spanish.) Major design trend in 1990s. Probably still are. Widely reproduced now but yours appears to be original to period. 1950s/1960s. Excellent find.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

This is great -- Although the finish on the metal looks a little distressed, that should be able to be fixed, right?

I was thinking the same about the finish, but the 1st Dibs one in the link has the same distressed look. (Described as ...."a very beautiful vintage patina".) Good marketing. ;)

I wonder if whatever finish the maker used tended to wear off? Can't imagine it would have had a distressed look in the 1960's.... or???

Very cool in any case. I've never seen similar. Nice find.

Used to collect those. Distressed finish is original. Adds to charm.
