Intro.

Hello, never been on a forum before...little bit lost but I’m sure I’ll figure it out! I’m really here to seek advice on an antique sofa which my friend found in her attic when having a clear out. Plus I’m fascinated by anything old tbh thanks for letting me sign up

ok, so let me elaborate (and thanks for asking!) ....the building in which it was found is a very old building which dates back to 1775 when it was opened as a coaching inn, to this day it has remained as a hotel. The sofa, amongst other things, was found in a disused stairwell/attic. The buildings full of history and still has a lot of original features. I love it!

 

Ah, the days when there were stairs to attics not the 2’x2’ hole in the ceilings we have now!.

It is unfortunately slightly damaged on the left side where a couple of wee wooden bolt things have popped out :-(

And also needs a good clean...think good old water and a cloth would be the best way forward?

 

You are nearly there!
You need to start a completely new thread with your photos as no one will find it in here as you are in Introductions. Most people don’t visit here!.
Click forums- scroll down
Click Furniture
Click top right - new thread.
Then write lots of detail, size etc.
When you add your photos click Full Image beside them - if you don’t you get the little thumbnails.
If it says your photos are too big email them to yourself and select Medium size. Save them to your device and they should load no problem.
