    Hello,

I am new to the forum and looking for information about a Dependable Ditchburn Armoire. I remember looking up the history of the company years ago, location, years in business, but I can’t find it again. I’m also looking for a value.

Thanks I’m advance for any help!

Hi V, Don't know if this helps ->

Richard Jackson Ditchburn, set up a furniture factory in Sunderland in 49 Villiers Street and it expanded into to a large factory on the same premises and it was then passed to the Sons: Billy (William Edward) Richard (Dick) Joseph & Leslie. Following the bust up of the brothers it was taken over by Billy. They set up Ditchburns Ltd, Dependable Products Ltd in addition to having many fingers in many other pies in the North East of England. Billy also became Mayor of Sunderland and Chairman of the Sunderland Football Club SAFC

Hi everyone, thanks so much for the information and warm welcome. I am in Tx clearing out my father’s estate and have had my hands full. I will be heading To Oregon soon and traveling so I may not be on much before then. I did try to upload a picture if the Armoire but it said the file was too large. It may be a while until I can convert it to work.

My father raise me in NH so I assume that is where he purchased it. I like the Armoire and was wondering if it was worth hauling to Oregon and keeping it. I have driven back and forth many times and space is limited, so I have to pick and choose what I keep.

Once I get a picture I can upload I will post it in the forum. Thanks again for the responses!
