Intricate plate, Judaica art

    I found this beautiful plate at an estate sale in the French Quarter. Its obviously biblical stories and characters but I have no idea what I bought other than that. Its a foot in diameter, heavy, and is meant to hang on a wall. The attention to detail is amazing.     Das Hebrew alright.....quite the stories too....12 tribes......

    The Twelve Tribes, the Ten Commandments, and definitely all in Hebrew. I wouldn't be surprised if those are kings David and Solomon on there too.

    David on the left, Solomon on the right....

    It's a Hebrew free for all !!!! & it says passover...so TIMELY !!!!!

    Nice plate! Looks to be old damascene work. Maybe silver on bronze. Would be stunning if properly restored.

    The photos aren't the greatest,but the only things which may be damascene might be the "silver" wire in the copper boxes along the edge.Everything else appears to be applied and soldered.
