Looks like painted on masonite? I'd guess '59. I don't get any sense of period, or age. The vertical strokes makes me think more likely brush than palette knife. Heavy application of the paint like that is called impasto. I'd guess a Sunday painter.

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

I wasn't quite sure if '39 or '59................I now think just an apostrophe in
front of the 5............so '59 looks decent.......

Thank you for the additional photos. I see you're not looking to identify the artist; you're only seeking opinions about the work itself. IMO, it shows considerable skill. Not the work of an amateur.

I think it is very nice. As mos said, the technique is impasto.
The landscape looks like a former peat winning region, with the light influenced by proximity of the IJsselmeer, so my guess is the 'Vinkeveense Plassen'.
You could ask a galery in the region of the Vinkeveense Plassen if they know the painter, whose name seems to be Jacobse-(something). Presumably a woman painter.
You could also ask in The Hague. According to her text the painter lived in The Hague, and it was framed by kunsthandel Weissenbruch in The Hague.
I can't find the kunsthandel, because "kunsthandel Weissenbruch Den Haag" directs me to every gallery that sells paintings by Weissenbruch who lived in The Hague.:playful:

I like the painting as well, and agree it's a talented artist.

That is a very flat landscape!

oke thanks, when i photo googled the label i found this : https://www.goedgevonden.info/kunst-textiel/antieke-merklap-stopdoek-1873-1875 so it could also be that my work is from 1859?

P.S the tekst on the back is probebly from the previous owner of the painting who gifted it to someone to thank them. i don´t think the tekst is from the painter.

I really don’t see the painting being from 1859.. I would still think it’s about the same age as the frame. It’s an skillful and interesting painting, but I think opinions on liking it will vary.
