I went looking for Chinese hallmarks and found this place by mistake. They have a ton of maker's marks from all over the world. I"m guessing it's run by someone who is Chinese.

I have used that site in the past. Just a word of warning, it seems to attract nasty virus programmers, so a virus scan after visiting is recommended.
My anti-virus programs detected nasties more than once. Which is why I avoid the site now, too much bother.

 

One other word of warning - They may know what they're talking about on Chinese but anything from another country should be verified from other sources.

 

That's what I figured. I did find info on Joseph Skinger however, so they do have some interesting bits. Nobody has anything on Skinger. (mid-century silversmith who started out in Connecticut and ended up in Vermont. I always just figured he was a ski country souvenir dude. He apparently did more.)
