Kemm (1837-1895)work with real cloth and maybe silk used. Framed with glass. Not really sure what to make of it. It’s 38cm-54cm. Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated. Thank you

It's a bit of an oddity, isn't it? He seems to have painted mainly genre scenes, often -- like yours -- of women at the seashore. With the addition of fabric, would be considered mixed media. Late Victorian, of course. I'm assuming the enhancements were commercially done but I may be wrong. Have not seem anything similar from the era.

Much appreciated. Thank you for having a look and commenting. I agree it’s a bit of a odd thing. I have been searching but also haven’t found something similar with the cloth enhancements from that period. Or another example of his work that this was done to. To be honest Im not even sure I like it,but it is very interesting.
