Insigia on helmet

I don't do militaria, normally, but this looked interesting. Anyone recognise the insignia? Yes, I've googled a bit. Found to the North West of London.

Red paint on a military helmet. Hmmmmm Stand out like a sore thumb

Could it be a Motorcycle helmet?

It's a sort of tower or castle thingie. Could be motorcycle, possibly. I've just remembered our MPs wear red caps. Hm.

 

The US Navy fire control, damage control, people worn red helmuts during WWII. It may be a motorcycle helmut, but doubt a Hell's Angel helmut would have a birdie on it! With the turret, something similar to our US Corp of Engineers in Great Britain sounds more likely.

Short of OBB doing it in person I've pulled it in pretty dang close and don't see that.
What I do see may be letters with a B tucked in by the leg and body though it doesn't make sense to me to have letters just 'loose' there. Maybe they are on a banner or something if letters at all.

 

I think our helmets were still red in the 70s, maybe still. They would have the area or repair locker they belonged to stenciled on in yellow.
