Featured inkpot glass. Baccarat ?

    good morning everybody.
    inkpot diameter 13 cm, height 10.5 cm, weight a whopping 2 kilograms. metal fittings by Orivit.
    could it be Baccarat glass at that weight ?

    Very nice.
    It could, but I haven't found a similar one yet. Maybe one of the others has more luck.

    Really like this. Not having any better luck than AJ is at finding something comparable. It does not seem fussy enough for Baccarat. Perhaps a German pewterer would collaborate with a German crystal maker?

    Orivit was in the west - Cologne - and worked also with French artists. they were best known for their pewter art nouveau stuff, but also worked with sterling and guilded surfaces. they even worked with ceramics companies, here a keeper from Pec, Hungary

    That is a gorgeous inkwell. Love the intricate shapes that are formed in the lid when looking into it. Very thoughtful design.

    "The keeper" is sublime.

    Can't help with the ink pot's glass. Lovely, though.

    that keeper also exists in glass. from Loetz or similar. fittings in silverplate.
