Is this a original ink drawing on paper of the 8 immortals (I think in this case drunken immortals)? Or is it a signed print? Personally I think a print, right?. The frame looks perhaps 80’s to me?

Now for the signature or title. Something ‘8’ or a surname? Maybe “Liem’8” or Liang? (or is it supposed be to be Xian’8?) But the first letter looks like a “L”. Drawing itself is 27x39cm.. Thanks for any comments. Keep well

I think etching instead of ink drawing.

I was wondering if it could be a wood cut?

    Was thinking woodcut, too.

Look for a plate impression under the mat if you can see under it. May point to etching.

I am guessing woodblock print. The texture in the teapot looks like what you get from rubbing the back of the paper with a baren. I don’t think it went through a press. Just an observation.

Thank you for your response. In truth I had to google the term
“a baren’.Any ideas or even a guess as to possible age?

I would think 1960’s. Name looks Chinese, Ling or Liang, something like that. Looks like it might be printed on mulberry paper. Signed like a western print, artist could be American/ Canadian. Hard to tell. I have modern Japanese prints by Japanese artists signed like western prints.
