    Hello to all
I would appreciate any thoughts on what might be the best way to sell my antique barber chair. The biggest issue is that it weighs at least 400 lbs. Also I live in western Canada which is somewhat isolated. It seems most of the interest is in the USA. It is fully restored however I did not fix the hydraulics so it does not lift. I have been told it is early 1900s. Made by Hanson. I am certain many of you deal with unwieldy items so your input would be helpful. Pictures attached. Thanks so much. 20170313_111713.jpg 20170313_111713.jpg 20170313_111713.jpg 20170313_112637-1-770x825.jpg 20170313_111713.jpg 20170313_112427-1-770x984.jpg 20170313_110619-1-770x884.jpg 20170313_111007-770x433.jpg 20170313_112637-1-770x825.jpg

    Wow!!!
Maybe on eBay and shipping is the buyer's problem to arrange and be responsible for it.

Oh, you can just drop it off at my place and I'll take care of it for you.........my living room is screaming for a point of interest, and this just MIGHT do it.................

on the other hand, I agree with KOT, specify Local Pickup with the buyer arranging shipping if desired - pre-paid shipping, with crating NOT your responsibility.

Beautiful chair but why didn't you fix the hydraulics? That would have sold it in an instant - would have people come up to get it! No need to worry about shipping then - which will be a ridiculous cost.

I can't imagine the hydraulics are that big a deal.
Unless damaged they can probably be made to work even if fittings are different now.
At worst replace it with a new or used system.

Yes that would be a good idea but there are parts missing and it is more $$ than I want to spend.
