Information on bronzed tray from MET?

    Neither do I, but ...
    The Etsy seller isn't the only one describing it as an ashtray. Same tray on Ebay and on a Russian and a Lithuanian site, also described as ashtray.

    The Met signs its reproductions with MMA (Metropolitan Museum of Art.)

    Met = Metal, usually pewter. It's an older mark usually, not associated with any company in particular.

    To my eye, it looks made before smoking became popular with women (1920s.)
