Looking to know more about this chair. What style or time period is it from? How much do you think it would be worth? Any information is helpful

Very unusual! I’d say 1880s due to the decoration and ebonizing.
I don’t know where you are. Location is key in ascertaining value. That said, antique chairs are almost always worth less than you think they should be. Plus, there’s virtually no demand for rockers right now. In my part of the US Midwest I’d expect to see this go for $25 to $100 on a good day.

It looks as though someone dismantled a spinning wheel, and incorporated it into a rocking chair !

I'd say...it's audacious & wonderful , and should you find the right buyer... I'd suspect that several hundred dollars would not be out of the question !

My wife knits , with one of her sisters when possible, and on occasion in a group.
I would not think twice about seeing this marvellous chair in anyone of the knitting stores she frequents, or in one of the owners homes.....& if she brought this home ....I'd let her keep it !!

    Now....
    where r u
    where did you find it
    what did it cost u
r there any marks on the wood at all..

I think both Komokwa and Ghopper are right on! It's a wonderful chair and if I had it here in the Western part of the U. S. I would be asking about $500 and settling for a minimum of $400.
