Info on V.W. Bennett painting

Anyone know anything about artist named V.W. Bennett? Found this amazing vintage large portrait and can’t find any info on the artist. Thanks!!

 

1950s portrait. These kinds of paintings are often the work of a local artist. Propping interesting. Could/would you post a close-up photograph of the cup and items on the small table? And a photograph of the entire back please including frame.

You bet! Part of what I fell in love with was the chair upholstery. Here are more pics. Thanks for your thoughts. I found it at an estate in Southern Missouri.

 

Love the chintz. Unusual that she's holding a chocolate cup. Handled vase next to her and a philodendrom in a small pot. Got it.

Thanks for trying!!! I think she’s just awesome. Whoever VW Bennett is - he/she made a fun portrait.

 

You can certainly do further research if you want to pursue. I'd start with the archive of the local newspaper and local telephone directory for late 1940s/1950s. It's not a debutante or wedding portrait as she's not wearing white. But from ring on finger, she is a young bride.
