    Good morning,
My 1st post and after reading all the rules I hope I'm following them. My grandparents parent's were born in the country of Holland and settled in Grand Rapids, Mi. My grandfather owned his own furniture co in Grand Rapids and worked closely with Stowe Davis in Grand Rapids. I got this when he passed but know nothing about it. Did he make it????

It is 18.5" tall and the seat it 14.5" wide. The most interesting thing about this is the claw feet holding glass like marbles that have air bubbles in them. These marbles have a seam if you look close enuff. The seat has 3 wooden sections to it. Yes it is dusty. There are no identifying marks on it.

Been in my house going on 30 yrs and a pack rat and thinking of moving across the country to take care of the parents ... so it is time to de-clutter.

I shrunk the pics but they were barely too big so hopefully I can include a link:

So any idea on it's value?

You can look for the feature to RESIZE in your settings. Most members probably would not have clicked on to your link, not knowing you, but I saved you the trouble. I just have to ask...is there any reason you could not take a rag across that seat real quick before you snapped the photo?:joyful:

Could you take some different angles to show everyone exactly what they are looking at?

It looks like a piano stool. Does the seat screw up and down?

    For instance,
This piece looks similar, but I cannot see the bottom or how the underside is constructed, etc. This example is described as a piano stool.

Wow quick responses and thank you flipper ... I used my computer to resize and the pics were just a little too big.

The seat goes around but it isn't a screw so the height stays the same.

I have 4 more pics but don't know how the forums resizes.

My grandparents were big in playing keyboards.

This won't be much help but I bought this one (which had been painted) at a local auction in VA sometime in the last ten years for something in the range of $30-40.

I know you can't sell here and I'm not trying to do that but may I ask what I should ask for it on FB Market Place and CL? Of course after cleaning it up. One thing I noticed on mine was it does have somewhat of a decorative piece of wood around where you sit.

@flipper have you ever though of changing your avatar to Flipper from the 60s TV show :)

What would be a good asking price if I may ask and not break rules? Local sale on FB Market Place or CL. Certainly don't want to mess with Ebay on this item.

    Thx

Piano stools in good, working condition from the same era aren't rare. IMHO the value of yours would be minimal.
