    Hello!
I googled the text and it apoears to be a Georgstaler (as they are called in german). They used to be good luck cpins but also small medals.
If anyone can date it or add more information I'd be very grateful.

Its almost the size of an euro coin. Maybe it's gold of lower quality since it doesn't have that brass/bronze smell ?

Its a British medal in Latin.
Its St George slaying the dragon.

St George's Society medal; silver; obverse: St George and dragon; legend; reverse: sailing ship on stormy sea; Christ and Apostles.
