Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

Along with try emailing images to yourself as MEDIUM.....they should come back to you as UNDER 1 MB.....which is right for this site!!!

@Ocean blue, Adding additional suggestions, so you can take your pick!!!:)
    Good luck!!!

Each image MUST be UNDER 1 MB....
There are instructions on site here on how to reduce the size of your image, if that is the problem......you are allowed up to 8 images per post!!! Here are some links to the instructions:

You are nearly there Ocean Blue.
Now click ‘Edit’ on your posts and then click ‘Full Image’ beside your photo and then ‘save changes’. That should bring them up full size :)

50s or later colonial take on a windsor chair. Maybe as much as a couple decades later. Wood could be maple or birch with a colonial maple stain.

How do I go about finding more information on this chair?

What more do you need to know? Impossible to peg to a maker without a label unless you would happen to find a catalog page. Doesn't really matter who made it in terms of collectability or value.

I’m sorry, but I’m new to this. Why doesn’t it matter in terms of collectibility and value? I was intrigued by this chair and just wanted to know more about it. This chair belonged to my boyfriend’s mom whom passed away last year and we came a crossed it going through the basement.

I'd refinish it, add a cushion and put it right back to work. It's something one of my mom's friends would have had in the living room or bedroom in the mid-70s, having decorated in the late 50s or 1960s.

@Ocean blue , turn the chair upside down and see if you can find any makers marks or labels anywhere on the underside. :)

It is not by a known maker or designer. It is not antique. Just used furniture with any value being in its utility.
