Impasto ? painting of sunflowers

    Each of these is about 13 x 5.5 inches, without the frame, and signed Carter 71.
    From my searches, I would describe them as impasto oil paintings? Is that accurate?
    Also, just would like confirmation that these don't have anything beyond decorative value.

    A lot of Carter flower painters! It's in the manner of Robert Cox and may be by a contemporary (as opposed to being factory art - though Cox was something of a one man factory).

    Impasto is that heavy paint oil technique so, yes, correct. A little late for "mod" but you could use the term along with "floral still lives" or some such. And yes again to decorative.
