A friend of my mother’s gifted it to her and she in turn brought it to me as this is not in her taste. She’s a yellow gold girl and I’m about silver. :)

I don’t think it’s sterling since it has no marks but a single one that I think says “7915”. I haven’t done a scratch test on it yet either. The stones are also not all the same shade and I don’t know what type they are. When I searched 7195 I found random hits that didn’t look like this.

I thought it was odd how each bead had a hole in the bottom of it. Has anyone seen something similar?

All of the metal pieces appear to be handmade, there is no reason I can think of for the holes.Holes are usually below a bezel set faceted stone so they can be steam cleaned.

The 7915 mark is a 925 silver mark with an initial in front of it. The stone wants to be turquoise. Either they are, and were exposed to oils of some sort, or they're variscite or another similar stone. Best guess anyway.

I agree the mark looks like it is for 925/sterling the cabochons look like turquoise to me, although may have been 'stabilized' or otherwise treated to improve appearance. I do not think they are some other mineral that has been dyed. The variability argues in favor of authenticity.

I looked up examples of green turquoise and they do look like these stones a bit. I appreciate the clues. I would have never thought turquoise came in anything but the robin’s egg blue we all know.

The Chinese stabilized turquoise often comes in that green. It either starts that way or turns that color. The whole design of that thing is odd. It wants to be Indian but isn't quite.

I wonder if the maker didn’t mean to set something else in place of these stones originally? Seems likely the only reason if this type of setting is for a facetrd stone.

The reason I'm thinking Indian is they currently often make on design of bracelet and then set different kinds of stones in the same design setting. There could easily be many like this with labradorite, citrines, rock crystal, or even glass.

Nice bracelet, BMRT. My guess is Himalayan, not too old. I have no reason to believe those stones have been dyed. I love the liveliness of the different shades of turquoise with the rather rough looking veining.
I have seen fairly recent Tibetan jewellery with that hole in the back of the bezel, and native Tibetan turquoise is often greenish blue to green.

When Chinese stabilized turquoise is green, it is because the stone was originally green. China has an enormous supply of different kinds of turquoise, mostly in Hubei province. It has as much variety in colours as US turquoise and often resembles it.
