Identify MCM?

I bought this set from a lady recently and she couldn’t tell me exactly what they were. In hindsight, I’m thinking I shouldn’t have bought them.

They are obviously old, they are covered in a white laminate and have turquoise, plastic backplates for the silver pulls. They seem pretty small so I’m thinking kids furniture.

You were so helpful on my last post, I’m hoping you can assist me again . Has anyone seen pieces like this?

They look similar to these that they say are are Colorama by Vaughan Bassett. They say the panels can be reversed to make them either yellow or green.

They don't show any marks for verification. Are yours marked anywhere?

I did find this set of nightstands with a label. Debut '73 by Vaughan of Virginia.

Interesting. I'd have thought it was a tad earlier. But 1973 works in terms of the colorways.

Who knows? If OPs was also by Vaughan, maybe they did different colors in different years. I've only found the yellow and green in my short time searching. Hopefully they have some marks on theirs.

 

Those are exactly them! Thank you so much! I looked for markings, but I couldn’t quite get all the way into the unit to look everywhere.

Yes, I noticed. I have pieces that I’ve repurposed that people tell me to sell on there and I just can’t imagine paying those prices!!

lots of sales show a lower price accepted..

 

I just want to kind of get rid of them, lol. They’re now just in my way.

 

I think they're a bit more Mod in style than MCM.

I definitely don’t see them being close to mid either. They remind me of my kitchen in the 70s!
