Can anyone identify this which I found on the bottom of an Art Deco sideboard? IMG-20230206-WA0001.jpg

It is an upside down stamp of Bruynzeel, a Dutch company.
The company was founded in the 19th century as a timber and flooring company. In 1911 they went on to make furniture, mostly schoolbenches, and from 1937 kitchen cabinets etc.

They manufacture some of the premier marine-grade plywoods on the planet...multi-ply, structurally very strong, really beautiful stuff...and, of course, very costly.

This is the sideboard I found it in.. So they didn't make the sideboard just supplied the ply for the base?

    Gorgeous.
That I don't know, I only know their MCM sideboards. And as @wlwhittier said, they made excellent plywood.
Bruynzeel is currently split into different divisions, and I have no idea where to find this type of info, but you could ask these people:

    https://dehuiszwaluw.nl/tag/bruynzeel/
    Contact info: dehuiszwaluw@gmail.com

They are a Dutch design store and they also sell vintage Bruynzeel items. The site is in Dutch, but they likely speak English as well.

Thanks Aqui and whit. Now that it's the right way up I see that it says Bruynzeel fineerfabriek. 'Fineerfabriek' means veneer factory, so this is from their veneer division. Bruynzeel made excellent veneer, a lot of it made of tropical wood from Surinam, which was a Dutch colony at the time.

Just listed this for sale, expecting it to go in the next couple of days. The first I'm starting this weekend. They are close but think the first piece is a bit higher class compared to this one which was mass produced.
