I bought this wooden box with inlaid pieces at auction a few years ago.

box seems inlaid with coppery metal, ivory or bone, shell-like pieces, red blue yellow natural stones or glass pieces?? on different sides you see hyegrolic/egyptian signs that I can't read.
one corner piece is missing, but the rest looks neat. only the bottom is quite scratched.

i would love to know more about this box.
    when was it made?
    what story does it tell,
the meaning of the egyptian symbols ?
the names of the material used? are these real stones or colorod glaze?, ivory, bone or plastic? mother of pearl or metalic glaze??
    thanks in advance

Agree with dates 1960s-1970s due to quality of piece and color of felt. And there wasn't a market for these types of goods until mass tourism which began in those years.
