But I can’t make it out clearly. Can anyone here look at it and let me know if that’s what I have here? It’s on a bronze owl shaped jar with glass eyes and there’s a signature on it that says Bergm and then the barely legible stamp? If that’s what it is…I don’t know for sure. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

Me neither. Gorhams is not a known mark even if I could see it. There is a specific mark for Bronze items, but this admittedly cute owl does not look to be of Gorham quality.

Wondering if it could be an artisan piece? It's really great.

Maybe stamped with initials only, hard to read... V.M..??

Looks vintage at least to me, and I would think might have some value in the resale market.

Not that this will help ID it, but you say it's a "jar". Does the top come off? Just open inside or is it glass lined or anything?

I am finding many similar in sterling silver that are of finer quality than yours described as mustard pots. Here is one marked Bergn that is more similar to yours and listed as an inkwell.

Here’s another photo of the other signature above the barely legible one.
Hi, thank you for your response, jar with attached lid, really. The the beak is like a handle and the whole top of it’s head opens with a hinge holding it in place in the back
