I love this ladel

    IMG_5385.JPG This is the neatest thing (that I personally like) so far from MIL's house. It was just buried in dust. I guess it's some 1896 ish ladel of some sort. I first thought it was a thing to put a candle out!

    Mom had collected one of those......I think she called it a wine taster.....not sure if she was correct or not.........regardless.....it sold in her shop.....not a clue for how much!!!! I thought it was pretty neat too....

    There are some listed as canning ladles. I'm not sure if that's right or not either.

    Hi,
    Too small for a caning ladle of course if you weren't caning for the winter it might be but I doubt it. Iam wondering if the wooden handle was a replacement for a silver handle or even a glass one. I have one around here somewhere that has a glass screw in handle.
