I first thought this might be a pen holder or something. But then I realized, the side with all the holes is the base because it has the flat part. Now, I have no clue.

It's solid brass with several holes on the bottom and one hole on the top. Any ideas?

    Thanks!

Dansk made candle holders for candles about that width. Tall and very narrow tapers were a thing for a while.

Small candle stick holder? The holes on the bottom look like
where core prints may have been on the patten so they could set the core to make it hollow and then be able to knock the sand from the core out of the cast piece.

Thank you both! I hadn't thought of the small candles.

And the mold graphic explains the holes on the bottom side.
