Featured I just went a little crazy!

    I was looking at an online auction which had coins and gemstones among the other fare. Up came this lot of 277 cts of raw Baltic amber. For some reason I just felt I had to have it. So for $25 (includes Buyer Premium and shipping) I am now the proud owner.
    I have have no idea what possessed me to buy it. I will share some with my sister who loves amber, and guess I'll try polish some.
    I went on Youtube and watched a couple videos about how to polish raw amber so I may give it a try. Maybe I'll find a bug! lol

    Boy you sure got my attention with the header "I just went a little crazy" seeing it was on the JEWELRY board. Couldn't click fast enough!

    Thirded or fourthed! If you have a really good, fine drill that bag looks like really good beads. I've hand-knotted similar before.

    I wondered about that........I have been told that Amber can have natural holes....but those looked drilled to me too.

    Raw amber chip beads, or close enough. I restrung an entire necklace worth not long ago- hand-knotted the whole thing.
