    Good evening everyone!

Online searches haven't been amazing to start 2023 so I was very happy to get a few solid purchases recently. These showed up yesterday and I finally got a chance to work on them. These were a total of $80 with shipping, and they are going to clean up very nicely. They weigh about 104 grams per cup; I made the choice to break one of the stems to see if I had weighted, hollow or solid handles; hollow it is! If I find time tomorrow, I'll hopefully have a quick little game for a separate item I purchased, I hope you enjoy the before and after of one cup (that's all I have time for tonight sadly):

Nice! I've been lucky to see pewter lately, never mind sterling. Found weighted pewter too, strange but true. (I mean, why bother?)

Will you be able to repair the one cup?

I don’t think so, I think it will go into the scrap pile because I dinged up the base pretty bad working to separate the stem. I spent a day mulling it over in my head. If I ever sell the group I should be able to specify if the stem is weighted or not…

If you may be selling the group in the future, I wonder if you should hang on to the broken one to prove it isn't weighted. ?

Mexico is also a more likely candidate, because most of the other countries use hallmarks (assay etc) on silver. I have seen that 950 font on Mexican silver.

THat was my first thought too. Generally they'd also mark it Mexico, but these didn't get stamped.

If silver spot price drops to $6.45 per ounce in the next 6 months we can do that deal.

(LOL) Not likely unless a solid silver asteroid weighing a few tons drops itself in the Nevada desert or some such.
