Unfortunately, most of this stuff has condition issues. Here are some of them.

These two posters are not that rare, but how much will the condition affect prices?

Both of these window signs have small bits torn off, but I have the pieces:

This is about the size of a bumper sticker. Apparently it was part of New York state's Have A Lift War Camp's Community Service campaign. How rare is it?

This sign is made out of heavy cardboard and gold tissue. Have you seen one?

What I've learned from Mike&Frank is that older items made of paper did not survive well...so they have a rarity factor, but that said condition still plays an important part in their value.

The victory sign is way cool, & may be the winner here !

Interesting. My local museum just hosted "Call to Action," an exhibit of World War I posters. To start with the obvious... have you done an internet search for comparables? I do know strong images increase value (Boy Scouts = good. Posters with type only = not so good) and scarcity can make collectors overlook condition.

    Thanks Komo.

Debora - I have done a search for comparables. I've found everything but the last two. I was hoping someone here might know of a good place to look.

I am happy to put them up for sale here in the sell forum if anyone thinks I will get some offers.

I'm finally getting ready to list two of these - the first two shown here (yes, this is typical of the time lag between acquisition and sale of some items - those I want to enjoy, gloat over and/or or thoroughly research, etc).

Any way - both of these are listed as posters in the museums and libraries where I have found them. They each measure 10" by 14". Most of the WWI posters currently listed on ebay seem to be 20" by 30".

So do I list them as posters or just prints? I don't want any disgruntled buyers.

Posters, ‘prints’ means you copied them.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

I agree, posters would be the way to list them.

Thanks King. I like the flag one too. I'm thinking the Norman Rockwell one might draw some people in though - he was only 24 when he did this one.

    Thanks fig.
