I get a lot of my packing supplies from a small privately owned surgery center where I use to work. One of the best things I get are these bubble pouches. They are 11 1/2" by 6 1/2" & have an adhesive strip closure. I get a bag full of them at least twice a month & right now I need to share some with others because they are piling up on me. There is a small paper insert inside that I throw into my paper recycling bin, but I leave the sticker on the front because when you pull it off some of the bubbles end up popping. The sticker is great to write on, especially when you are selling a huge lot of stuff. I did this when I sold all those train cars last year. As I listed them I placed each one in its own pouch & then wrote my inventory number as well as the information on each car. When the listings ended they were ready to go & all I had to do is drop then into an envelope or box. I have 2 boxes with 35 pouches in each box. Each box weighs 1 lb. 9 ozs. The only thing I ask is that you pay for shipping. I'll take the first 2 to respond to this posting. There will most likely be more to be had at a later date so if you miss out on this one be patient & wait for the next offering. Peggy
I have lots of air bags. Also, dozens of boxes every week. Hubby gets orders in and it's usually one large box with lots of smaller boxes inside. If you guys are near a locksmith or hardware store, go in some time and ask about boxes. I'd rather give them to someone than have to break them down and take them to recycling. They're very sturdy.
I won't get any, since I don't sell things and others might make more use of them. That is very nice of you, bercrystal.
If there are any bubble bags left (or any foam bags), I'd love to have them. Thanks! Pat - I got another bag full yesterday so I'll let you know when the next batch is ready to go out. Peggy
I sent bercrystal a message last week telling her that I had lost my mailbox key, and could not check my mail. I assumed the pouches were in there, but I couldn't get to them. Anyway, yay!, I just sat by my window for 2 hours straight waiting for the mailman to come, and was finally able to get my mail. If I can't find my key in a couple more days, I have to pay the PO $25., for a new lock to be put on. So, I hope I find it soon. The pouches are great bercrystal, and I will have many uses for them, thank you so much for offering them, and for sending them. That was very kind of you. I think they will help me in my quest for organization too!
You are very welcome!!! I hope you find your key real soon. I don't know which would be worse, sitting around waiting for the mailman or paying out $40.00 to have a new lock put in the box.
Hi, Just had to say. Last year I went to the PO and inquired about getting a box. My PO has a three month wait since they are in use. The rent would be 225 dollars a year. I almost fainted. I would have to travel 6 miles each way and pay that fee. Not happening here. I would rather walk 10 ft each way and not pay a dime. I hate my mailbox, it interferes with the photos I take of the house. Due to underground lines, cable, phone, water irragation etc can not move it. greg
