I have no idea..

I purchased this walnut antique walnut bed 34 years ago in Texas. What would I call the style?? I was told it was made around 1890.

 

It has a Victorian look to it. I will say that Lexington made a Victorian line of furniture that looked pretty decent as well. I would probably need to see the bed frame without mattresses. https://www.chairish.com/product/19659494/lexington-carved-victorian-mansion-oak-bed-queen-size

 

Maybe slightly earlier by a decade or so. Renaissance revival but not an over-the-top example.

 

@ducati2 , it would help if you put something in the title that is relevant to the item you are asking about. "I have no idea"can apply to most threads here, otherwise people wouldn't ask.
A simple "Antique walnut bed" is a start. "Antique walnut bed, help determining style please" is a very nice start.

To me it looks like a more contemporary piece made in an antique style...
Very similar to laura's Lexington example...

No letters or numbers stamped on it anywhere?
