I Have an Almost Antique Limoges Brooch to Giveaway

Hello everyone
I have started to make decisions about what I want to sell, keep and give away.
This brooch falls into the latter category. It's hand painted with scroll edges. I think the metal is brass. Approx 1.5 inches square. Please note there is some wear and tear as per pics
If you are a well known member and are interested please let me know by 5pm 3/2. If there is more than 1 person interested I will draw a name.
I am happy to pay for postage to anywhere in the world.

A beautiful pin, but not for me. Apparently the clasp is called a trombone catch and dates it pre-WWII.

It was one of her favorites. When she died her two daughters in law scooped up most of her jewelry and most of it was never seen again. Her most valuable piece was an emerald ring from a great aunt. I had it for many years. It was lost in a breakin.

I don't understand the motivation of people who have no thought for anyone other than themselves. I wish I had seen her emerald ring. I am sure it was beautiful

 

What I'd like to know is how they got the porcelaine tablet into the frame without chipping the edges?

I imagine two of the side scrolls were bent open, and were pushed back in place after the plaque was put in.
This style is very French. I have a 19th century French brooch with similar scrolls around a piece of taille d'epargne enamel.
