Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

recesses of that smallish chest I have of Block Island "STUFF" I also found I have a "Souvenir of the Inauguration Ball March 4th, 1885 Programme" for Grover Cleveland.....with an envelope (high foxing but the invitation isn't!) and a pencil attached (Like a Dance Card)! Nothing hand written on the inside. Will post a couple of images in a second, but what I found fascinating was, look at who is billed as the conductor of the music on the inside!!! I didn't photograph the rest, but can if interested....! The only other one of these I found after searching, was at the Library of Congress, but without the pencil and blue cord! ANY THOUGHTS and OPINIONS are GREATLY APPRECIATED!!! ARE/WERE these very collectible at some point in time??? AND THANK YOU SO MUCH for looking, as always!!!

I think collectors of inauguration memorabilia would find that of great interest. So would a number of museums.

BACK when formal dress and long gown were in style!!!!!!!!!! I went back and compared it to what's in the Library of Congress.....content (to the tune of the same 20 pages!) looks to be identical at least!!

I think there would be collectors out there that would be really into that piece. Hard to judge the market for something rare but I'd think an auction house dealing in better ephemera would be happy to market it to buyers.

Thank You ALL for your input!!! Maybe it’s time to start either an area or large tub, and some acid free tissue around some of this older stuff that I could hopefully get sent to, as you say, an ‘ephemera’ auction house!!! If I don’t, I don’t know who will!:rolleyes:

Wonder how they determined price. (And love the $9.40 added to a $650 item for shipping.)

I'd love to know too. Amazing timing. I wonder if Ted Hake included these in his guides of Political Americana.
