I am so needy..

  1. always asking for help!

    My old neighbor gave me this radio..
    can not find any info on it.. not in working order, but cool removable speakers!

    Believe it or not,but you can find the tubes to fix it.Fix it up and I can see this going for some good money,this stuff is so IN right now.

    It more likely needs capacitor replacements than tubes. Probably some variable resistor cleaning too.

    I have something similar.
    The speakers hinge to cover the front and, best I jthey are wireless!

    I'll bet working the AM side pulls in everything in a 500-mile radius. At night anyway; those receivers on the old radios were killer. If you got the right skip, the range went out closer to 1000 miles. Pretty sweet.

    Where King is, I'm betting one of those old sets used to pull in those overpowered Mexico nighttime stations, way back when.

    No shortwave, although sets from the 30s often did. My dad used to listen to the BBC that way during the War sometimes.
