Is anyone familiar with this type of Mexican folk art work or the artists thereof? This piece is 7.5" x 7.5". It is signed on the back...Emilio de la 'something' with 'something' underneath that. I am wondering if this could be Emilio de la Cruz Benitez? Could anyone possibly translate the rest of it? I can make out a word or two but it's fairly faded so not being versed in Mexican makes it even more difficult. Thanks for looking and your input!
Just a suggestion, I think it would be a good idea to post multiple close-ups of the back if you want help with the translation. The text is very hard to see in the photo. I can't help with the art other than to say I feel like I've seen similar pieces and surely someone will come along who knows this type and can help. Very colorful piece!
Maybe just copy what you think it says, someone will probably be able to make sense of it all (los ojos de Gila?).

Very rocky translation. I'm making assumptions and guesses and connecting loose ends, buttttttt... It's something like this. The peyote God brings things for the ceremony and offers it to the people for them to have in the celebration, that they may know of all the real truths, as is the tradition.
