    This charm bracelet

based on the dates charms that were attached, and the general style, early 1970’s

any specific name for that style link?
    For the textured pattern?

    It is not signed, so no help there 5C8F99B1-EFF3-49E4-A3CD-EA8D74075279.jpeg A1A991F5-D7A2-490D-B8BE-56261C73EB54.jpeg 53F39E2C-CCC6-4633-A897-51686761BDE2.jpeg 4A837CFF-7467-4A00-8FE0-23AF1571757E.jpeg E4C11033-8A40-4646-AD2A-254E45F63697.jpeg 95582468-C67F-48C9-9F52-CC778869BD73.jpeg

yeah that struck me as somewhat odd as well. I suppose I should have been more clear in that it’s a bracelet that had been used as a charm bracelet. I cut the charms off last evening

When you say you "cut" them off - were they attached by thread?

Is just the closure 14K, or the entire bracelet?

That’s a good question, I was wondering the same. I thought it was costume until I scrolled to the clasp!. If the whole thing is 14k I must pay more attention to this type of link when searching boxes of costume jewellery at car boot sales as that would be easy to miss. Great find if it’s all 14k!

The guard chain would lead one to believe gold.

Can someone tell me if this is a curb link bracelet?

If I was describing it for sale I would probably call it: "Unique midcentury impressed pattern gold links bracelet" I know it's a bit vague but I think it would do the job.

I hope it’s the whole darn thing. Bought it at auction last night and I’m currently at work while the bracelet is at home. Zooming in on the photos, it appears to have a pinched loop connecting the closure to the bracelet, and I am starting to feel a little nauseous. I guess I’ll get to enjoy that feeling until I get home and test it :grumpy:

I am relieved to update this thread with the news that although the closure might be a replacement, evidenced by the open ring and very slight color difference, the bracelet itself does in fact test for 14k. A hopeful test for 18k proved that I should just be happy with what results I got :)

thanks, I am definitely relieved since what I paid was based on it being 14k (minus the sterling graduation charm)

I will likely go with something along those lines as I’m not finding anything similar to identify it as. Thank you

I believe I will go with that. I had guessed 70’s because of the dates on the charms, but the fact that this appears to be a gold bracelet that was turned into a charm bracelet would nullify my theory
