    Some housewife sitting by the radio needlepointed a new seat cover in the late 30s to mid-40s, judging from the color.

    From a kit. And a surprisingly amateur job of affixing it.

    Yup. I recognize it; my grandmother had the same one on her chairs. Only she and my mom did a far better job of putting things together. (unless they came on the chairs when Grandma bought them around 1946/47 when they got the house.)
